Servus & happy Sunday. ☼

A warm welcome to 7x new subscribers who got a FOUNDERS OS/Ideapad product or signed up directly for the founders.menu newsletter. ☻

Today is a bit of a different edition from the normal Starter (mental model), Main course (founders.menu update), Desert (past week’s startup highlights), and Sides (last week on early.tools) – so let’s talk community. ↓

This week I decided it was time to launch community.founders.menu on Skool. This is an important step to contextualize what the founders.menu platform has to offer. Sure: I can deliver the world’s best tools, reads, listens, streams, and templates, but if we can’t discuss their merits and share alternatives to figure out what works and what doesn’t, what’s the point?

For founders.menu to work, we need a basecamp to leverage the power of succeeding and failing together, so we can learn as a collective mind by adding context to the growing list of ingredients on the founders.menu.

I recorded a 5min pitch to make sense of it, but here is also a written version.

It’s a sanctuary for founders building simple products with personality. Far from the hype & forced scale. We are bullish on a handful of true fans who validate a repeatable business model. We are the founders with taste. Whether visual, written, or anything in between. We are the independent founder who chooses their own path and strive to embody these values. ↓

What are we for?

  • Building for the thing, not the status.

  • Saying “f*ck it” & ship “just right”.

  • Giving advice over opinions.

  • Writing = clear thinking.

  • Listening > speaking.

What are we against?

  • Hypergrowth.

  • Perfectionism.

  • Complexity.

  • Bragging.

  • Mimicry.

How will this community work?

This community is meant to translate these values into an increased speed and quality of taking action around three pillars (also the channel structure):

  1. Regime → proven methods to inspire how you take action.

  2. Relations → energising people who love taking action together.

  3. Resources → inspiring ingredients to nudge what action to take next.

With the founders.menu platform as a guide, we have a growing list of ingredients to fuel valuable discussions in each of the three areas.

Let’s find out what works & what doesn't, together.

Sounds like you’d fit right in?

Please note: I am inviting members in batches. Once you request to join, you will either enter a free or paid queue – the first 25-50 invites get free access.

See you next week for a typical edition of the founders.menu newsletter.

DM & reply-to-email is open.

See you around. ☻
